Do you have a bed cover or tonneau? Drivin' one of these at speed with an open, empty bed is like dragging a little parachute... mpg will suffer.

Just to follow up on this: my boat dealer said that 18-20" was the appropriate "top of ball" height for my 21' Glastron I/O on its trailer. I can't guarantee that'll work for all mid-size boat trailers, but I bet it's pretty close.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the trailer. It's a typical setup for a 21' boat... but the trailer's at the cabin and I don't have it here to measure. I would think most mid-size boat trailers ride with the coupler at very similar heights...

When the Ford factory class III/IV hitch is present, is the ST capable of controlling trailer brakes (7-pin connector)? Or do additional equipment/connections need to be made to enable trailer brake control? Thx!

Hey, all... two questions, here. 1. Where's the least-expensive place to get a genuine Ford hard (hinged) tonneau cover for a 2007 ST? Also looking for the 2007 bed extender. I'm seeing $$$$ for the dealership expense: they want $1284 for the cover and $363 for the extender, installed...

I just test-drove one yesterday and that's an awesome feature! Depending on the trailer, you could drop the tailgate and the window and make that first drop down the launch ramp with an empty trailer MUCH easier!
