Hey, all... two questions, here.

1. Where's the least-expensive place to get a genuine Ford hard (hinged) tonneau cover for a 2007 ST? Also looking for the 2007 bed extender. I'm seeing $$$$ for the dealership expense: they want $1284 for the cover and $363 for the extender, installed costs. Ouch.

2. Do either of these require pro installation? Or are they just snap-in and use?

Thanks in advance for any info...

Neither need professional installation. The extender consists of 2 pivot pins with Torx heads (can't remember the size - a large enough allen wrench does the trick as well to put them in) - and the extender itself, installation takes 3-4 minutes depending on how strong your wrists are.. lol.

Not sure if there is additional hardware for the tonneau cover; underneath is basically spring mounted bolts that hold the cover on; it is easily removable.

With the tonneau cover, remember to get the locks redone so you can open the cover without the gate down.

Check with the dealer on this process; there was a thread earlier discussing single/double keys, however some ST's came with 1 key for both doors and tonneau, others had 2 keys - 1 for doors, 1 for the cover(my 07 had 2 keys).

The dealer should be able to either get new locks put in, or have something keyed for the cover (probably would cost more.. but who knows) If you get a key(s) with the cover, even better, but it would just mean 2 keys for you instead of one... then its just a matter of cost if you want to simplify it.
