I just posted a group buy for X Cal II tuners. The tuning is by Rogue Performance who is a 4.0 Explorer owner and has ample knowledge on the 4.0 SOHC engine. He also tuned my truck. The price is $379. Included is the tuner with 3 tunes of your choice, a computer data cable, and 1 month of data logging. He mentioned some other stuff- sct decal and a CD.
Data logging is the closest you can get to a perfect "tune" without spending time on a dyno. It records the data at certain rpms and that data is used to customize a tune for your vehicle.
Any tuning specific questions should be directed to [email protected]. In his words " I don't like to pigeon hole the tuning. I'd like to see what their needs are and build a tune to fit".
