i have a pioneer unit 6cd from an 02, radio is good but cd player is jammed up in some fashion and will not work.

I'll keep you in mind, but I'm looking for completely useless. I am going to perform some major surgery on it.

Nah. Kenwood DDX-8019. I'm doing the opposite--hooking it up to fire the stock amp and speakers.



I'm slowly amassing the troops for the install. I'm dragging my feet with the HU, though, because I expect it to have a price break sometime this holiday season.

I went with stock head unit, Audiocontrol DQL-8 DSP, Boston SX-85 Speakers, Boston GT-50 Amp, Rockford P3S Sub, Parrot 3200LS Car Kit, and AAMP HD radio and iPod. I'm working on some other add-ons before I finish the install. About half done.



I have an OEM black '99 Exploder CD/Cassette HU at work. It actually works, but half of the display is dead.

Adam, I have one of the old combo units that is out of my 2001 ST. The display is shorted out and the unit will not work. Will this work for you._Ron
