I am considering purchasing a new set of wheels and tires for my Mineral Grey 2007 Sport Trac XLT. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the bolt pattern is 5 x 4.5.

I like the American Racing Assault wheels, size 17 x 8--[Broken External Image]:

...On BFG All-Terrain T/A KO tires. I am not very familiar with tire sizing, but I want something with a taller sidewall than stock, perhaps 265/70/17.

I also found these in an 18" --

....On Nitto Terra Grappler 285/60/18.

Let me know if you think one of these would be a good combination! Thanks- Brandon

To answer the bolt pattern question, Yes, that is correct.....

I have American Racing "Casino" wheels which are all black with a machined polished lip. They come with black hubs but I purchased chrome hubs for them. Really sharp!

I like number 2- will stand out more with the black/silver contrast- all black wheels seem to "disappear" to me. Also, in my opinion, the more techno/square spokes better compliment the angular look of the ST, esp. the '07.

I would be concerned about clearance on an 07 with 285/60/18s. I am running 265/65/18 BFG's on the factory Limited wheels and there ain't much room left over.

Thanks for your input! After all that, I think I have decided on Pro-Comp Knight 9001. I agree with some of you that the others were too flashy. These are basically the same as ScoTt's, but with a black-chrome finish. I'll have BFG All-Terrain KO 245/75/17 tires mounted. I'm hoping I won't get any rubbing with this wheel/tire combo.

The picture shows a wider wheel w/ greater offset than the spec I'm looking at, which is 0.
