Wiring to the Headlights

Hello,



I just got my PIAA's in today, and I have a question. I am wanting to hook them up to the headlights so that they come on and off when I turn the the headlights on/off. My question is what color wire is the one I need, the hot headlight wire is the one Im talking about. I have a 2005 XLT. It was suggested by another member that someone with a wiring DVD might me able to help.

A $2.00 test light is something I recomend....



As for the wire color, I don't know right off hand..



I also would HIGHLY recommend a relay kit..... The extra amp draw on the factory wiring can cause problems down the road...

He's connecting the PIAA relay line-in to the headlights, not the PIAA power in. That's going to the auxiliary power point behind the battery.

If thats true, ( he does not say that)



then you can simply take out a headlight bulb and stick the wire from the relay into the bulb socket, whichever one turns on the relay is the correct wire to tap into...
