Winter and A/C

Hello,



I know the A/C is supposed to run in setting like defrost and a few other settings, and my A/C worked when I bought the truck in Aug of 09, but now that it is winter, I am not hearing the compressor cycle when in defrost mode. Is there something that disables it in cold weather, or has something gone wrong that I can look forward to repairing in Spring?

May be low on freon. Low pressure swicth, taking it out.

Lance, I think if under 30 degrees F, compressor will not engage.

Mine engages even in the teens...
