Will these fit??

Current Tire size is 245/65/17 and time for new ones.



I can get a good deal on some 255/75/17



Has anyone run these on a stock Sport Trac... Mine is an 07 V6

as far as I can tell... they are the same width as the 255/70/17, but just a bit taller....



Any opinions?

Tim,

I have 255/55/18's on my Gen2 V6 and no rubbing even in hard turns. Your 255/75's should not be an issue.

I just looked at the tire size calculator tho... It looks like the 255/55/18 are 29" and the 255/75/17 is 32.1" That's quite a difference. The width is pretty similar tho.

I think on member is running 265/70-17

Looks like the 255/75/17 is only .5" Taller... I don't forsee any problems if he is running those without any...

Tim, I will have to think about it. He post the pics about a year ago. I know he also had a pic of a 302 bronco II in his library. Maybe he or some one will chime in...

My neighbor has 255/70-17's on his regular Explorer and says they fit fine. .02.
