when to change drive belt

hey folks got 71,000 on my 02 st, question when should the drive belt be changed out, mine is original ?,please advise

Honestly, you could wait until it makes noise before you cahnge it. It could also break on you.



I would change it now if it were my vehicle.

When it gets more then 5 cracks per inch.

At 71K and 6 years a new belt is cheap insurance buy one..

I have a basic tool kit in my trac so i alway keep my old belts in the storage area behind the seat. So if it were me id change it out now and keep the old one for an emergency.
