whats wrong

I thought the battery or alternator was bad so I replaced the battery, and had it checked again.Alternator is working fine but it is not charging the battery...battery light keeps coming back on. Any thoughts?

Battery cable full of corrosion? Bad battery terminal?

Nope all are clean. There has to be a break someplace between the 2.

Ground wire disconnected, check all the ground wires that go to the rad support, alt., battery, under hood fuse box.

If the battery light is coming on then it indicates that there is a problem with the charging system and almost always it is a faulty alternator. Do you have a multimeter??

I have not had my friend check out the ground wires yet because he has been out of town. The plan is to do this tomorrow.

I bet the store is not thourhly or properly checkin the altenator. You may have the charge voltage. But when all or some accesories are on. The return curent is too low.
