Thinking of just replacing the engine since I have to pull it anyway. A friend of mine in Missouri has the tools as he was a former Ford mechanic, but he can still get me a deal on a Ford reman, $2950 3yr/unlimited. I figured that was a better deal with the milage on it.

Hate to hear that. I know I'm on borrowed time with this engine but it's still pulling strong. I just wish it wasn't so expensive to repair the timing chains because other than those, this is a very good engine.

Super Six Motorsports is less than an hour drive from me. I'm pretty sure that'll be the route I go. I was initially thinking 5.0L V8 but a 400 hp 4.0L just seems too cool and they're close by.
