Voltage Regulator Check

Is there a way to check the voltage regulator? Is it part of the alternator? I have a recent battery that now is getting a lot of build up on the terminals lately and it recurs soon after I clean them. Thanks, Tim

Yes, way! You'll need a multimeter. Lots of good videos on YouTube on how to do this. I like Eric The Car Guy (linked below) and Scotty Kilmer.
