Has anyone ever replaced the valve cover gaskets on a Sport Trac or Ranger? I thought the truck had a rear main seal leak but now I think it is a valve cover. I looked and there is definitely oil around the driver side one, at the rear. I'm fairly mechanical but this looks like it might be a little difficult. I've tried to find instruction on the web to no avail.

What year is your ST? I'd recommend looking on eBay for a Ford Shop Manual for your ST. They're pretty readily available, fairly inexpensive. I have both the shop and wiring manuals for my '04 STA, and they've been an invaluable resource.

I have a 2001 Ranger with 4.0 L engine. I'll take a look on eBay. I was looking to see if anyone had actually done it. It doesn't lose a lot of oil but I assume it won't get better!
