unknown wires

I've been reading posts for a while,now I guess I'll post one myself. When I installed

my receiver hitch,I noticed a pair of unused wires behind the rear bumper.They are labled

aux chmsl power &aux chmsl ground. Anybody know what they're for?

They are for a cap to enable the 3rd brake light, if you want a cap.

That is what they are for!

Also works good for the Trailer Hitch insert decorative covers that have the lighted emblems in

them, that you may see on many trailer hitches, the ones that light up when you hit the

brakes?!

You may not be an Artist, or a Plowman, but I'm sure you might appreciate this feature!

cool,another rushfan.

I went today and got a ford brakelight to put in the hitch.Could have plugged into the factory harness,but didn't like the wires hanging down. The aux. connections made a cleaner look,tucked up underneath.Thanks
