Understanding a Differential

This video shows/explains how a rear diff works, it's old, but I found it very informative. The tutorial part doesn't start until about 1:50 in, so either skip to it or watch the old school motorcycle stunts.

Too bad that most people today wouldn't know why anyone would care about a rear differential, nor why power should go to the rear wheels ( ). They'd see the part about the wagon where the independent rear wheels were just dragged along for the ride, and stop there
