Tranny Flush

Hi Everybody,



I'm going to get my tranny flushed by a friend for free and I am responsible for getting all the necessary things needed. As luck would have it another buddy owns a car parts distributor so I can get the parts and fluids for cost. I would like to know all the things I should need to flush the trany correctly at 36000 miles, also the amount of fluid needed would help.

Is he also going the change the filter? if so a filter and at least 12 pints for a complete flush.

Make sure to purchase MERCON V and not regular MERCON!

Yes he is going to change the filter, I honestly don't know what he is going to flush it with, he is a mechanic and a good one at that so I guess I am in the dark. Thanks for the help so far

I would not do a chemical flush. Fresh fluid only.
