trailer wiring

I'm am trying to figure out how to charge the battery in my little travel trailer using the battery from the trac. I figured I could run a wire off of a solenoid somewhere, but the solenoid on the starter is hard to get to and I don't want it there anyway. My old bronco had another solenoid right next to the battery that I could just tap into. I dont want to run it straight off the battery becuase I only want it to charge when the truck is on. Otherwise I'll end up with a dead battery. Any ideas?? :huh:

I tapped into the 12 v plug in the bed. it is in the rear, and fused... works good HTH

You need a diode in the line to prevent draining the trailer battery.
