Have 15 in Carlise trailer tires less than 1 yr old. - seperated biais tread last weekend.

Did not go flat, but down to the threads.

Starting looking at replacements - does not look like there is a universal brand or type

which does not have problems. Also questions on biais or radial.

Trailer is JLG hydralick drop down trailer (bed lowers to 2 in above road)

Use it for carrying PhotoBooths to wedding and events .

Wheel 750 lb photobooth right into trailer floor with pallet truck.

Has anyone found the perfect trailer tire?????????

thanks

bill

I usually just use a decent car tire on trailers, they are a bit wider than trailer tires but hold up fairly well, I don't use my trailers on a regular basis, try walmart, etc., just look for a cheap tire, knowing you will have to replace and carry a spare at all times. Leaving a trailer on the side of the road is bad with no spare.

I have a double axel boat trailer had carlises that split and cracked after 2 years. I have Goodyear Marathon trailer tires for 7 years and they still look brand new. Also have the tire shop balance the trailer rims. Most will say its not necessary but tires will wear horribly.

Its the only goodyear tire that has treated me well.
