TPMS question

If I get new rims and tires and take off my factory wheels and winter treads. If I don't put on the TPMS on my new rims will the idiot lights be on my dash or since they are not installed the light won't come on.

It will come on at start-up. You can erase it, but it will return every 15 or 20 minutes.

I have a winter set of rims for my snow tires and the rims do not have sensors. I have my summer rims & tires stacked right next to my Trac and if parked overnight I can drive about 15 miles before the warning "Beep" and dash indicator comes on. After hitting the reset all that is left is at first a blinking then steady warning dash light. I do have the optional messaging option so mine might work a bit differently from on that doesn't have that option. If I don't park next to the summer tire stack I get the warning at startup. If I had to do it again I would buy an extra set of sensors!
