Tire size question- 17x9 inch rim

Right now I have 285/60R 17 tires mounted on my 17x9 inch rims. After having my stock (23575R15) wheels on for a while, I kinda want the acceleration that the smaller overall diameter brought. I want to make sure that 275/55R 17 tires will still fit on these rims. If they do, that'll only be .03 inch differance from stock. Can someone confirm these narrower tires will fit?

You should be ok. The 275 section width is 10.82 inches...
