Anyone change out a Gen 2 V6 thermostat housing yet? Looks pretty straight forward. My 2010 is leaking at the seam. This is why my overflow tank was empty and got overtemp last week. Why do all these new cars use plastic parts for cooling and intakes?!?

All OEMs are using plastic to reduce cost. Looks like a fairly easy DIY repair - better access than with the Gen1 engine.

Three hose clamps and six 8mm bolts to R&R. Make sure the ECT sensor o-ring seal fits snug in the lower housing. GL
