Hey George T! Glad to see someone else who engages the repair of cosmetically challenged vehicles. My red '01 4x2 w/158K may give up it's life to save a gold '02 4x4 w/69K if the upcoming sale goes my way. Thanks for your pics!!

Thanks ncranchero/Steve M

And good luck to you at the upcoming sale. So do you buy salvage cars and repair them and drive them or are you just doing this as a one time thing?

About everything I've ever had has been salvaged. I'm 54 and retired, got started when I was 14 doing VeeDubs. I fix them to drive and for my family to drive. I can usually drive them for a few years and still get my money back. Last one I did was about a year ago, an '05 Escape AWD for my Mom. That's what she wanted and she loves it, and she's 72 years young! Actually I enjoy taking something damaged and restoring it back to as new condition. Keeps me out of trouble too!:D

Your ST looks good George! I'm itching to get mine on the road but haven't found the parts reasonable and have been outbid on a couple parts cars. This gold 4x4, which is what I want anyway, is coming up in a couple weeks. I sure like this red  but I want 4x4 more than red.

Nice 2008 coming up next week but I don't have that kind of cash laying around right now.

Thanks again, I hope that you get any ST out there soon. Good luck again.

Wow. That is a long time of fixing cars. Im sure you are really good at it by now. All of the cars in my family are salvage title ones. Money wise, it is really worth it to get a wrecked car and just fix it up. Most people just dont feel like dealing with that and skip out on saving some money.

Im sure you will get that 4x4. I understand, but sometimes 4x4 is more important than the color. That second generation ST is nice, I dont think it would go for a lot, it would be expensive to get all the parts, since almost all of them would be coming from the dealer.

I hope you get that gold 4x4 that you want.
