Theft Light

I have a question regarding the Theft Light and it's application. I have a 2003 2wd Sport

Trac and the Theft Light blinks when I lock her up at night. A friend and I tried rocking her to see what would happen and no alarm went off indicating someone was trying to break in. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated... Tks- Scooter

It's not an alarm. It's an anti-theft mechanism that, I believe, disables the starter if an attempt to start the car without the PATS key is made.

Yep, Yardsale is correct. It is not an alarm, just a starter disabler.

It is passive theft prevention. The PATS transponder key is the real theft protection in the truck.

When ignition is in the OFF position, the indicator will flash once every 2 seconds to indicate the SecuriLock
system is functioning as a theft deterrent.
