Dude, you could have detailed the engine bay before the install:)

Is that the EE kit? who tuned it, what are the numbers?

Looks good!:supercool: Have you tuned/dynoed your Trac after installing this blower?

Guys,

He talked about this in another post a few days ago. It's the R.P. Caster/Banshee supercharger install kit. Basically, a guy's made an intake manifold adapter that works with an Eaton M90 S/C. He only sells the install kit, you supply the blower. Here's the link to his site:

Here's a thread on RangerPowerSports.com discussing a similar installation:

I havent got it to a dyno yet. But I did get a tune from fred at Rogue performance for it. He has done tuned a couple of these installs so far. I need to finish some small things but so far it seems to be alot better! The kit didnt have a place for the fuel rail sensor so my dad made one up for it. Which sits under the snout of the blower. I knwo its not detailed or anything. I figured i would post the pics and see what everyone thought. Haveing snow everyweekend for like a month does put a halt to installing it. I appreciate all the compliments. How do you down size the pics?

I checked out your other pics in your gallery. It looks at home in there. I would contact Ron about that adapter you made for the fuel sensor. This way he knows what has to be done different to make it work on a Sport Trac. He could probably start including it in his kit.

SO...........How do you like the sound??? :haveabeer:

I'm curious to know what the total cost for this project ended being.

According to Banshee's website, the adapter is $1,595. They're selling an Eaton M90 blower on their eBay site for $1,595. That's a total of $3990 without a tuner. And if you can't get a blower from Banshee, then you have to find one elsewhere.

In comparison, a complete, bolt-on EE supercharger kit without a tuner runs $4,195.95. For the ~$205 difference, you get EE's years of experience with supercharging the 4.0L SOHC. I'm not saying that Haphazard made a mistake with his kit, but it doesn't seem to be that much of a savings when you consider EE's reputation and experience.

I think what they are selling on there ebay site is the kit not the blower for 1595. Im at work right now and cant look at there ebay site. But you can get a m90 froma junk yard at a reasonable price and get the snout rebuilt. You will be saving around 1500 to 2000 in saving with there kit. and thats with a turner.

You can find eaton M90 blowers only for 250 bux easy, even on ebay.

I'd hope so, as 1600 for an overglorified fan that is not that efficient is ridiculous.

2 grand for the whole job is FAR superior to 4.2 grand...as a knock on Explorer Express' experience, their site clearly stated that their X-Spec setup did not require an improved front sway bar setup because Ford had improved the bar sufficiently, which as we all know is bogus.

Though even 2k can buy a cheapo Escort/Probe/Civic which will beat the supercharged ST :(

(Not to rain on your parade or anything--it's a cool setup. Kinda envious over here  )

Ford revised the front sway bar for Sport Trac models. They are now solid like our 95-97 Explorer part. These vehicles require only a rear sway bar to upgrade to X spec. Bar is 1.125 dia with Energy Suspension poly bushings.

(For Caymen + Gary S  )
