Strange problem..

On the way in this a.m. I got on the highway and the truck slowed a couple times. I thought is was like a hesistation/stumble. Its was raining and I know my IAC valve needs cleaned or replaced. So, I thought it was just working throught the moisture. Then I heard and felt a slight clunk (in the drive train I believe) and everything was fine. Like something wasnt all the way engaged.

Any ideas?? I will have to pay closer attention on the way home.

I have actually caught myself accidently putting the shifterhalf way in between 2 and of D but caught it when I heard the motor in a higher RPM range then it should've been and slid it into D. Might've been the shifter wasn't in D all the way and popped in by itself.

I have had the shifter not all the way in D as well and it does pop into drive while driving and sounds bad. That could have been it!
