Started hearing an ever increasing squeaking noise coming from the rear of my trac. Took a look under the back and found that the drivers shackle is completely blown out. Passenger side is almost gone as well. My question is... how long can I drive like this before any serious damage occurs. And also what is a ball park cost to have it done at a shop? If I do it myself what am I looking at? Thanks! :supercool:

Drive at your own risk. I'd replace them asap. You can get stock replacements for $15 each or W.P. lift shackles from Hugh, he's selling his cheap. You can have them changed out with hand tools in about 30-45 minutes.

Really, that easy huh? I should take a look into the projects section. I'm thinking of doing them on Sunday. If for some reason I can't maybe getting my trac into the shop on Monday.
