So the truck failed inspection

So Last week I took the truck thru inspection and forgot to take the taillight guards off and viola, instant red sticker. I went back today on lunch and chatting with the guy found out that Mercury Mountaineers are the only vehicles allowed to have the "bars" across the taillights. Gotta love this state.

They aren't "bars" per-say. (I'm sure you know that) The tailights are designed to look like they have taillight guards. All it is is plastic that wouldn't hold up to a grocery cart hitting into it. My wife has one. I like the looks of it but like I said, not much protection.
