Any recommendations as to when I should change my shocks and what shock brand my be best? I do like bilstien shocks but don't know if they make em for the sport trac

I used Monroe Reflex shocks. Seem to work pretty well. I've heard Ranchos are good too. Search the web for what fits and meets your needs. Bob :eek:nline:

Most say the Gen 1 OEM shocks should be changed the moment you leave the dealership lot.

Like tires, shocks are a personal preference. What kind of use with the truck? (Off road, etc.)

Rancho has a HUGE offroad following, this sweetens the deal. (Ends 6/30/12)

Appears only Monroe Reflex struts are available.

Both companies are owned by Tenneco.

Monroe rebate thru 4/30/12 (Four more days)

i've used the reflex twice now!

gone all over the monroe site. All they offer for the front is sensatrac.

I have the rancho rsx. Discontinued, but the reflex is the same. just external differenes. Plus monroe is less $$ than rancho.

So when the time comes. I will have to cough up the $$ for the rancho rs5000, rsx replacment. I have rode in a gen1 trac with sensatracs. Too soft for me.
