Just repaired my driver's side heated seat. Had to rip the entire seat apart, including removal of the heating elements. Found a break in the seat-back element and soldered in a repair splice. Alot of work, but when you live in Edmonton in the winter, seat heat is not an option - it's a necessity!
There are numerous websites out there that detail how to do this repair, including pictures. Just google "heated seat repair".
