I have an 02 Trac and one day the fuse for the reverse lights/ automatic door locks blew. I got a new fuse and replaced it, it worked for a few minutes then blew again. I've replaced the fuse about 4 times, but it keeps blowing. It was working fine, then just blew out of nowhere. The wire must be getting shorted somewhere. Is there anything I can check?

I had an issue with the reverse lights blowing too...checked, cleaned everything several times; it drove me nuts! Finally, a GM Tech (yeah really) friend pulled down the wiring schematics and had a look for me. Turned out there was a wire rubbing on the steering column that was on the same circuit that was causing the short! I never would have found that on my own...think I posted in more detail on here.

Good luck with it
