"Rear Taillight Out" Error

My '10 Trac keeps giving me an intermittent error on the electronic display that the "Right Rear Taillight is Out". When I get this warning, the right blinker flashes very fast. However, I only get the error every other day or so, and as soon as I reset it, the blinker works fine, and the bulb lights. I replaced the bulb and it continues to throw the error every now and then. Any thoughts?

I had similar issue, i applied dielectric grease to the bulb and replaced......



Seems to be fine for about 1 year now.....



UNLESS the bulbs filament is week or not in spec and the computer doesn't see the right resistance.



Or the bulb is bad.

I will pull the bulb again tonight and check it over and lube it. Will take my time to make sure socket and everything is OK. I still have the other new bulb- will swap 'em just in case.

I'd look for a bad ground. Aside from that, you might consider replacing the flasher.
