I got my Trac looked at this weekend, thought it was U-joints, but they told me today that it is something in the rear end. He doesn't know what it is yet, but looking anywhere from $300-800.

Pinion bearing in the rear end is a fairly common failure. Anytime any bearing in the rear end goes bad, with the exception of an axle bearing, you replace all of them.

yeah, no warranty left, I'm the second owner of it. It'll be the first big repair that I've had done to it that will be over $100.:banghead:

Mechanic just called, they're replacing all the rear bearings and also replacing the rear drum brakes - $861. That's the most I've ever spent on a repair on any of my vehicles luckily, and the first major thing with the trac. This is the part that I hate about owning vehicles.
