Radiator replacement...

Hey guys...



I have a leak in the radiator and need to replace it. I looked on rockauto.com and they have a handful to choose from. I am not sure what the difference between the reference to 1" or 2" Top & Bottom Radiator Channel.. I am familiar with 1 or 2 row... is the 2" just a larger capacity?



Also, any recommendations on a replacement brand??

My son & I have bought replacement radiators from Radiators Plus A/C for our '01 & '05 Sport Tracs. For my '01 it was part # 2309 for $138.03 on 5/15/12 w/2 yr. warranty.



The one or two inch option has to do w/the tray width [top/bottom] that the OEM sits in.



BTW: my local Frod dealer wanted $614.83.

Mine was over $500 a few years ago but it was on extended warranty so I didn't care. I would recommend switching to a 16 lb cap to lessen the chances that the new radiator cracks too.

They already have 16 psi caps.

Oops, he has a Gen 1. My Gen 2 originally had a 18 or 20 lb, I forget, but after the radiator cracked I put a 16 lb cap on it.
