Question on Front Bearings

Been having a metal on metal noise in front end. Its has been driving me to distraction. Over the weekend I switched out the brake pads. Still getting the loud hum. Went over and picked up new left front hub as I was able to pin down which side it was coming from. Stripped everything off down to the old hub, no problem. Can't budge the old one off. It seems to be welded in place. I guess after 6 years and 110,000 miles it is no suprise. Any input would be appreciated!!!!!
