question on factory door locks

Does the factory ford remote works with the keyless entry system or with the alarm? i checked under the dash and theres wires from an alarm, but theres no module, no brain. thanks from any help or input.

It should work for both (the keyless entry and ford alarm) as a factory item, I don't believe mine has a seperate 'brain' either per se.
