Is there a max age to apply to become a pilot? I know the max retirement age from FAA is 65 for pilots.
I know there's a max age to apply in the Armed Forces, ie 27 to become a rated officer, and 30 to enter undergrad pilot training in the Air Force.
I'm pretty much past the point to become one in the Air Force. I want to be a pilot in the civie world, but I want to wait until I retire at 20 so I'm drawing a pension, and getting something for my time in.
I want to go to one of the airline academies, or a flight college after I leave. I'll be 38.
Is it feasible?
-edit- I'm working on my private certificate now, and considering joining CAP to gain hours on my off time.
