Hi all,

The lock cylinders on the 1st gen covers hang super low into the bed. Especially when I have a full load, I am terrified that I am going to snap one off (at a cost of $60 or so). Anyone fabbed up some metal covers / protection for them? Alternatively, if I can Google Sketchup a design, is there anyone with the requisite tools / skills than can fab them up? I am sure there are some others on here who would appreciate a similar solution.

Thanks!

If you can provide an STL (STereoLithography) file after modeling the piece in sketch up, then you can have it printed yourself with some high grade plastics here:

Thanks. Mocking them up in cardboard now, so thinking I will just get some sheet steel and cut and bend them. Hopefully, it won't be too hard...
