The wife and I have one retired greyhound of our own and play foster home for others. We have an extra one right now. Allen the red one is ours and Road King the white one is up for adoption.

For scale, I'm 6'1". Allen was a very good racer and his grandfather is in the greyhound hall of fame. They are both a bit larger than average.

Her's our boy the day we brought him home;

Here's a more recent shot of him;

When we got him we didn't have a name picked out for him, we thought we'd let his personality make our decision for us. So after about a week of getting to know him we were driving down the highway trying to come up with his name when I saw a big billboard and knew in an instant I had found his name;

Colossal Shrimp

He is such a small dog, but thinks he is so much bigger and has the attitude of a much bigger dog.

my pit - she is a sweetheart. Sort of an older pic she is 70lbs now.

Heather....first off, I apologize, but my first thoughts were "hey there's a thread for dog lovers, maybe I should start one for cat lovers", then my mind went to what it would be titled and well....."Post your _______" .... then I stopped and merrily went on my way without starting a feline thread.

It's been fun checking out everyone's pups :)

Thought I might post this link for folks who haven't learned how to resize their picture libraries. It's on the right hand column and is called "Image Resizer".

Note: 640 x 480 is a good size to use for posting pics on this website.

If you do not have Windows XP, then you can use "Paint".

To resize, do the following....

Click:

Start, then

Programs, then

Accessories, then

Paint, (and then the MS Paint program will open up.)

After it's opened, Click:

File, then (drop down menu will appear)

Open File, (find the picture you want to resize)

Picture, then

Open, (the picture you selected will open in Paint)

Image, then (drop down will appear)

Stretch/Skew, then (pop up box will appear)

Enter 30 in the Horizontal box,

Enter 30 in the Vertical box,

click OK, (now the image should be smaller)

After it's resized, Click:

File, then (drop down menu will appear)

Save As, (Pop up window will open with the file name highlighted,

either use the same name or append it to reflect the smaller

size by naming it OriginalName Small.jpg or something along those

lines.

Now click Save.

Your picture should now be pretty close to 640x480,

you can re-upload it to your library. Keep in mind,

Libraries have a certain amount of space reserved for pictures,

so, the smaller they are, the less memory they take up.

Just make sure it is saved in the JPG format, not BMP.
