Pentax camera

Aloha guys,

Since I am not getting any info from the camera forum, I'll ask you guys. I have a Pentax K10D (automatic lens) and several old Pentax lenses not automatic. Because of the electronics, the camera doesn't recognize the old lenses and will not turn on. The question is, is there an adapter to allow the manual lenses to work on the newer camera.

Is there a switch that OEM lens trips or compresses when mounted? Maybe the older lens is not making contact with it. My digital SLR doesnt have the capability of other lenses. So this is just a guess..



My older SLR has different lens. It is a cannon 35mm, manual focus/auto f stop.
