P401 code

Geez....the ST hits 100k and has started giving check engine codes every month. What has anyone found to be the problem for code P401? I know it says EGR problem, but isn't it more common for it to be the DPFE? Any help is always appreciated.

Every time I have gotten this code it has been the DPFE sensor. I am on my 4th one now! (135k miles)

3 rd 1 for me at 102k. Thank god it was under warranty for 2 years. It only lasted 15 months.

Where are you guys buying your sensors at? When I replace them I only use the Ford ones and I have never had a repeat failure on any of my customers vehicles

Ford/Motorcraft DPFE's ONLY ! !

They are a common failure. And Ford's are affordable enough they are worth buying. That said, they seem to fail somewhat often on the Trac for whatever reason..
