It also appears to get heavier, less bounce...

yeah i got it once, i just let it hang straight down then slide my finger down really fast and clicked at the same time. just changes color

I did a slight move up, tapped it several times,,, just changes color..

I got it to change a few times. That's almost as frustrating as putting an elastic band on your little finger across the back of your hand to your thumb and trying to get it off with the same hand alone.
