I have a 03 XLT with open rear diff. I am wanting to get a LSD and replace it. Is it a simple replacement or do I need to get backlash or anything else adjusted?

i agree w/ rich.... a factory LSD still will leave you stuck... chevy offers a locking rear on their 2wd colorados, and i saw the demo.... amazing...

Are you wanting a locker for off-road use? If not, the Powertrax No-Slip Traction System is supposed to be quieter (while turning on the street) than a full locker, like the Aussie.

Detroit True Trac is a very good limited-slip.

For a street-driven locker I'd get a Powertrax No-Slip.

Eaton makes a E-Locker that normally functions as a limited-slip but you hit a switch and it locks up. Pricey though.
