Contour HD at running at 720 P (can do 1280P)

great helmet cam, and got a windscreen mount for it.

may try some external mount locations to with the underwater case for protection

Nice to see video's for a change. Looks like alot of fun. I've been wanting to buy one of those camera's that can be mounted anywhere on the vehicle.

yea, it has a tube mount as well, but the brush guard is a bit bigger than a bike handlebar so need to custom build a mount for up there.

i also thought of using the windscreen suction cup mount and placing on the side mirror to watch the tires go through the mud. we'll see if it works.

Good video. Where were you riding? Let me know if you make plans to go back and I might be able to join you. Doesn't look very rough or difficult, but still fun. Off road Sport Tracs, and videos especially, are definitely underrepresented online.

Hi Hugh,

sounds good, yea. i was looking at an RC aircraft field using google maps and noticed these trails accross the road. then found the entrance behind some warehouses.

one of the scary parts is to get to the trails you have to cross this old wooden bridge. ( you can see that close to end of video.) i spent 10 minutes checking out the structure before i was convinced it would hold the truck.

Haha, I noticed that. I was wondering if you checked it or just crossed your fingers and hit the gas.

You might want to take a look at the Go Pro HD. This is a very good cam. more mounting options the the Contour HD, IMO better picture too.

the go Pro HD is good for the standard camera screw mount, but it's pretty bulky (boxy) camera. I got the contour HD because i can actually use it as a helmet cam with other activities too ;)
