Odd left turn signal on startup

I've had a weird problem the last few days, whenever I start my 'trac the first time in the morning, the left turn signal is flashing rapidly. The first 2 times it did it, I could turn on the left turn signal and it'd stop and stay off, but this morning, that didn't work. Kept on flashing until I hit the hazard light switch, then turned the hazards off. Anybody know what would cause this?

My first thought would be to see what happens when you move the steering wheel up and down.

The wring loom and connector in that area have been known to cause problems tho I have not heard of that particular symptom.
