i'll be out of town for 1 month. what is the best thing to do:

1. get someone to start it once a week or so?

2. disconnect the battery?

3. nothing

anything special when i return before driving?

Thanks!

Set up a TV in the garage and leave it on the Speed channel while you're gone to keep it entertained. Other than that, you should be fine.

Ironically, this is how Dingo's folks went on vacation while he was in grade school. :D

Curiously, when Mr. and Mrs. Dingo arrived home, the dog food was gone, the sockets were missing the ratchet, and the dog did not walk straight for four weeks. Like that picture that so often pops up, "Only the dog knows for sure."

There's that one certain position that I've always been fond of. *Tapes fingers together*

No, seriously.....

Should the car be started every week or so for the almost-5 weeks I'll be gone?

Thanks!

No, a month is nothing. I have let vehicles sit a year without any issues.

Nah, they also left me a 40 lb. bag of dog food and a socket set.

Well hopefully it was something hearty like Alpo or Pedigree. None of that fru fru Hills Science Diet or whatever :p
