The engine is going into the cobra

It's a 351w stroked to 408 cubic inches. Probably expecting it to produce somewhere around 480-500hp. Lots o hp for a 2500lbs car.

Long story short

1965, mark tuban ford in my town on the showroom floor had a Cobra, 427, black.

walked home from school and looked at that car every day for a year.

Price was $5800.00, could not mow enough lawns at that time to buy that sucker. workin at the shell station for a $1.20 an hr, I saved my pennys, i had to have that car.

saved up 2800 bux in a year, begged the dealer to just store the car, I would have the rest of the money in maybe another year, just got laughed at me.

They sold the car to another dealer for less than 5 grand:(

For the ST, it's a 2003 XLT 4x4. I got it new, and after all these years came to the conclusion i needed more power. I ended going with the Supercharger kit from Explorer Express. The kit was very complete and allowed me to complete it in 10 hours straight. I liked the kit cause i i didn't have to worry about finding the right parts and such, even though it's an M62 it was worth the time saved. If i was on a budget and more willing to take time on it i would have pieced it together.

As for the cobra it's a Superformance Cobra, it comes with everything minus engine and transmission which we put together.

Holy Moly, that car is beautiful! I allways tell myself if something ever happens to my Mustang, then I'm buying one of those and putting my drivetrain into it.

The only thing better than that one would be a real vintage Cobra. And the only thing better than that would be the now one and only 900hp Shelby Cobra Super Snake that belonged to Carroll Shelby. Of course I can't afford the gas for any of them, not to mention the insurance. It looks great!

One of my fav cars! Can't wait to be able to spend my extra cash on a car like that. Keep up the good work it looks great.

Patrick Pierobon

Im working on two AC Cobras right now. 1st dynoed at 308hp/549tq on a 351W. Built for nitrous which is still getting wired but that is the reason for the numbers NA. And the second, well... before the tear down we had it at 9.13@154 in street trim.

The Cobra will get better gas mileage than my Sport Trac even though it's Carbed, if i would've done EFI it would be even more efficient. There is a lot to be said about how efficient light cars are. The Cobra will weigh under 2500lbs when finished, the same weight as a 08 Mazda Miata.
