The total cost to repair my transmission is $2429.19. The repair shop says it will be just like the day it was made (better, I hope).

The extended warranty I got will not pay for sensors or the EPC or some other parts, only "power-train" parts, and subtracting my deductible they authorized $1712.24 for the repair.

I owe $716.95. Looking at it in terms of new car payments, that's only 2 months. I can live with that to keep the Trac.

Odd, the sensors and epc is part of the power train, IMO.

Is that a ford warranty?

You just gotta love extended warranty companies that weasal out of paying and also shops that pad the bill with unnecessary b.s.
