maybe cracked elbow

i got a code a few times now for a very small vacuum leak... parts guy thought it was the gas cap leaking but i think it may be the famous cracked elbow... what do u guys think

Depends on the specific code, did you check the elbow (by removing it) can't see or really feel it when it's on. If you have an aftermarket gas cap or locking cap that can and will cause the CEL light and eventually the Check Gas Cap light, I finally removed the locking cap and bought a factory Ford cap from the dealer. No issues since.

Ditto. PCV elbow almost a given if P0171/174 codes. Easy enough to check. :banana:

Start by checking all the hoses and connections to the rear charcoal canister.
