Maximum Towing Capacity??

Just a quick question as I am away from home.

I have a 2007 4x4 v8 Limited AWD. What is the towing wight capacity? 5000? 7000?



Anyone know? I'm away from my owner's manual.

With a class II hitch, 3,500 Lb

With a class III/IV hitch, 6,990 Lb

Don't know the weight of this rig, but the vehicle is the same, 07, V8, Limited 4x4. Towed this no problems across the mountains from Columbus, OH to home (Chesapeake, VA). Averaged about 11 mpg....[Broken External Image]:

07 and 08 Sport Tracs use the Explorer full-time t-case. It's not exactly AWD but you have the 4-Auto position for 2wd. 4-Auto, 4-Locked, and 4-Lo.

01-05 Tracs use a Ranger t-case with 2wd, 4-Hi, and 4-Lo.
