think may be a stupid question but i am trying to learn more as time goes on about our trucks. everyone buys the mustang mass flow senor, what does this do if i change mine out for the mustang 4.6 or the cobra or the svt lighting? if it is the same size. does this change the computer read it diffrently. will it give me more hp.

thanks

hdt.

soon i will changing all eight body mounts wish me luck. when i get more time inport and not always out to sea.

Henry,

I think the 'stang and the svt MAF is too large for gen1 4.0L tracs. They are 80mm or larger. Not sure our ecu can calibrate to it. Even with xcal3. Even with our sensor in the 80mm body.

IMO, idealy we need a 70mm TB and a 75mm MAF. The upper intake needs to be ported for the 70mm TB. I think the runner design on our upper intake. Are good for the HP and TQ. This would be about the max for our stock 4.0L motors, IMO.

The aftermarket let us down for the base 4.0L SOHC.:sad:

Except for supersixmotors.com. But that is a expensive radical, way.
